The Sowchea Creek placer project is located near the community of Ft. St. James. The property consists of 2 placer cells for a total area of 37.68ha. The property was partially mined in the 1980’s by machine which returned a considerable amount of placer gold (personal communication). The nature of the gold was flakes, fines and the occasional small nuggets. 2 recent testing programs  took place during 2024/2025, these test programs have demonstrated repeatability in both grade and gold characteristics. These reports are available to serious buyers.

There is road access directly onto the site via the Cunningham FSR. Approximately 0.2ha remains cleared and ready for processing, this is where the majority of recent testing was completed. The property is well suited for both hand or machine activity. The main areas of focus by the owner are located well away from the active stream. The gold is found starting at surface down to a false bedrock layer which varies in depth from 45cm to >120cm. The deposit represents a post glacial concentration which formed during the last period of de-glaciation. Glacial melt waters incised through millions of cubic meters of gold bearing materials concentrating the gold into shallow surface deposits which can be easily accessed and tested by hand methods. 

The owner is looking to sell 100% of the title as they have been told by their partner to downsize as they are busy with several other projects and cannot manage. An outright purchase can be made for $7,995 CDN through BC Placer Gold Claims

This claim is 2 cells and a total of approx. 93.10 acres in size. 

This claim can be worked by hand (without additional permits other than your Free Miners Certificate) or with permits, this is a great claim to machine mine.
